Dedicated to bringing high quality environmental education programs to Lake Tahoe youth.
STEEC uses Lake Tahoe's incredible natural resources to teach students about the wonders of our environment through observation and investigation.
Through STEEC's educational programs, students become engaged in educational outdoor experiences that better connect them to the natural world.
Through place-based education, STEEC continues to implement programs that are hands-on, interdisciplinary, and standard-based in the classroom and outdoors.
STEEC creates and implements science-based programs for Lake Tahoe Unified and Douglas County School Districts.
Reaching thousands of students each year, our programs are incredibly successful and have been adopted into school curricula.
